Every human undergoes stress in their life, may it be small or big. Stress is a dangerous condition that can overwork our bodies, making it function inefficiently. Our bodies function optimally under pre-defined conditions. If the conditions vary even slightly, our bodies are highly affected in terms of performance.

When we undergo mental or physical stress, our body releases certain hormones to cope with the situation, which can boost our capabilities temporarily, but leave a lasting impact on our body to mitigate the harmful effects. This is our body’s natural mechanism to counter stressful situations.

A good example of stress handlers in our body is adrenaline rush or fight or flight mode. While it may enhance our capabilities for the time being, prolonged durations can deteriorate our body significantly. Therefore, stress can cause various issues and can damage our mental and physical condition considerably.

Negative effects of stress may include chronic anxiety, hypertension, cardiac issues, mood swings, chronic fatigue, lack of concentration, and even memory loss. These issues and diseases can be prevented by managing stress early with regular meditation. Therefore, we need to implicate lifestyle changes that lowers stress or undertake stress management exercises to negate the negative effects of stress.
