If you are suffering from an oily skin, you are bound to be tempted to wash your face multiple times a day. Using a facial cleaner that eliminates excess skin oil may seem to be the best bet, and they surely give your skin a smooth feel and finish. However, using facial cleaners EXCESSIVELY is not always the best course of action.

Our body produces oils to help regulate skin moisture and to keep our skin moist. While for some people, excess oil production may result in a greasy texture. HOWEVER, NATURAL skin oil is essential to maintain healthy skin.

When you wash your face with facial cleaners multiple times a day, you tend to leave your skin deprived of the essential oil content that helps in moisturizing the skin. As a result, your skin would be left dry and you may need to use moisturizers to help balance moisture.

However, nothing beats the natural oil produced by our body and excessive use of facial cleaners can trigger excessive production of skin oil to counter the lack of moisture, which results in a greasier feel a few hours after you wash your face. The best bet is to stick to using facial cleaners ONCE OR twice a day IF PREFERRED i.e. in the morning and in the evening.
