Description
Gua Sha is a natural, alternative therapy intended to address stagnant energy called Chi in the body (many practitioners believe may be responsible for inflammation), which involves scraping your skin with a massage tool to improve your circulation in the targeted area of the body. Using this process has been known to create a lifting effect on your skin.
Rubbing the skin’s surface with a Gua Sha Tool has been known to work with the skin to optimize and support the body’s own reparative functions by promoting lymphatic drainage, helping break up stagnant energy (move chi or qi around the body), reduce inflammation, help break up scar tissue and reduce pain in some instances, improvement in breast engorgement, reduction in cellulite, breakouts, signs of aging and promote healing.
This ancient technique has been known to offer a unique approach to better health, addressing other issues like muscle tension, tightness, nasal congestion, calming of the nervous system and increasing the flow of oxygen to the skin.

During a professional Gua Sha session, a technician scrapes your skin with short and long strokes stimulating microcirculation of the soft tissue, which help increase blood flow. These strokes are made with a smooth edged instrument known as a Gua Sha massage tool.
When using a Gua Sha tool on your face, use more gently strokes tailored to your comfort and tolerance. “This is promoted as a ‘natural face lift” when used regularly.
Basic steps to give yourself a great facial using your LáCre Gua Sha tool:
Start with clean hands and a clean face
Warm your Gua Sha in-between your hands allowing energy to flow
Apply LáCre’s She Glo’n plant based stem cell serum or your choice of non-pore clogging facial oil (roughly 8 drops) to your face and neck.
Sweep over the eyebrow out toward the hairline, then up from the brow bone over the forehead out towards the hairline. Best to stroke up to 3-5 times each area, keeping your tool flat (at least 15 degrees). Be mindful not to sweep over each area too many times, this may cause counterproductive overstimulation
Sweep underneath your cheekbone, to help move fluid that tends to be stored here and direct it towards your hairline
Sweep your tool over your cheekbones out to your hairline.
Sweep very gently under your eyes/inner corner of the eye to the hairline
Using the grove of your tool where the top of the heart shape meets, start at the center of your chin and sweep out across your jawline towards your earlobe.
Sweep the neck on both sides from top to bottom, use very light strokes over the Adam’s apple (Moving strokes downward follows the direction of lymph fluid drainage).
Finish your Gua Sha treatment by sweeping down the neck to the collarbone.
Follow the same steps on the other side side of your face.

How often should you Gua Sha
Once per day. However, you can still experience the benefits of this ancient healing technique if you do it two to three times every week. Be sure to clean your tools between uses.
LáCre’s Gua Sha tool is made of high quality Rose Quartz Stone
Rose Quartz is an ancient gemstone, one of the most common minerals on earth that has been around for thousands of years, known as the love stone. This stone is said to be associated with the heart chakra, opening the heart chakra to love, beauty and emotional support. Rose Quartz has been known to aid with the positive aspects of physical and mental health (something we wish for all).
Markings resulting from proper use such as transient petechiae (tiny red dots formed by broken blood vessels) on the skin typically disappear within a few days of treatment.
Avoid using this technique if you had any surgery in the last six weeks. Those who are taking blood thinners or have clotting disorders aren’t good candidates for Gua Sha. Check with your healthcare provider before trying Gua Sha if you are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition or are currently taking medication.
Performing Gua Sha incorrectly, applying very hard pressure can cause side effects that include bruising caused by the bursting of tiny blood vessels (capillaries) near the surface of the skin, tenderness, swelling or pain. Using really excessive pressure on the muscles can tear the membrane that covers them.
Generally not recommended for people who:
Have any medical condition that affects the skin or veins, skin infection, cystic acne or open wound
Take blood thinners
Bleed easily
Have deep vein thrombosis (blood clots)
Have an implant (like a pacemaker or internal defibrillator)
Have tumors or cancer
Consult your doctor prior to use
LáCre’s Gua Sha tool is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.
